The Famous 'Slide The City' Is Back In Malaysia And Bigger Than Ever

If the scorching hot and humid weather lately is starting to get on your nerves, then this might help.

Slide the City’s iconic giant inflated slide has turned into a global phenomenon, invading the streets in major cities including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, China, and many more. And now it is coming back to our shores!

The gigantic slip n’ slide first hit Malaysia in 2015, travelling across Penang, Melaka, Kuantan, Johor Bahru, and Kuala Lumpur.

So what’s different this time?

The organisers have heard your cries and here’s the good news. Slide the City has now been extended from only one weekend to a whole month-long of sliding!

Bring your family and friends down to Setia City Convention Centre in Setia Alam every weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) beginning 30 September onwards to 29 October for a full day’s fun in the sun.

Besides experiencing the premium slide, you’ll also get to enjoy the carnival-like atmosphere at this event with live music, food vendors, as well as carnival games like Rodeo Bull, Dunking Game, Bungee Run and Gladiator Joust.

The giant slide can be very thrilling, but there are some important safety guidelines you should take note of. First of all, just like other larger-than-life rides, all participants must be 7 years old and above, or at least 110cm tall. Those below the age of 12 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver.

Each tube is meant of solo sliders only and lap riding is not allowed. There is a chance your tube may bump into someone else, you may fall off or get knocked off from your tube. If you do fall off, make sure you look behind you before standing up and move to the side as fast as possible to avoid mishaps.

And most importantly, do not stand in the middle of the lane when you reach the end. Always remember, it’s okay to have fun, but safety first!

Regular tickets are priced from as low as RM29 and VIP tickets are priced RM86 each. Buy your tickets online at the official website of Slide the City. You can also purchase onsite at the event or at selected 7-Eleven stores within the Klang Valley and Penang starting from the third week of September onwards. For more details, you can also visit Slide the City Malaysia's official Facebook.

So come on, wait no more, get your tickets now and just slide away!
