This is the pride of the historical sites in Lithuania, Hill of Crosses is also the goal of Christian pilgrimage, 12 km north of the city of Siauliai, Northern Lithuania. In the old regime, planting the cross is a crime and punished severely under threat. In fact, people that nobody cares and still make pilgrimages to the Hill of Crosses. It was only after the Soviet collapse in 1991 and again, Hill of Crosses, Lithuania became the site of national pride.
